WE THINK OF OUR PLANET
More than 20,000 PET bottles are produced in the world every second, or 1,000,000 bottles every minute… or more than
600,000,000,000 bottles every year!
Only approximately 10% of these are currently recycled. Plastic bottles take around 450-1000 years to fully decompose
in nature. Studies suggest that as early as 2050, there will be more plastic waste in the ocean than fish, which will have a
disastrous impact on life on our planet.
The aim of the eARTh collection is to raise awareness of these dizzying numbers and help increase the percentage of
recycling of produced bottles. We’re trying to do our part – That‘s why all backpacks in this collection are made from
recycled materials.
The name of the collection is play on the English name of our planet „Earth“. The word „Earth“ contains the word „art“.
That is why we decided to project the skills of young talented artists. Working under the pseudonyms Caer8th (street art),
Mara Cmara (illustrations) and Lukero (paintings), these artists supported the idea behind this collection and designed the
individual backpacks.
